2026 Toyota 4Runner vs. Honda Passport Performance

Performance is one of the biggest differences between the 2026 Toyota 4Runner and the 2026 Honda Passport.

The Honda Passport keeps things simple with one engine. Every 2026 Passport comes with a 285-horsepower 3.5L V6 engine, 262 lb-ft of torque, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and a 2nd-Generation Intelligent Variable Torque Management™ AWD system with Trail Torque Logic. This setup gives the Passport smooth power for daily driving, road trips, and weekend adventures.

The 2026 Toyota 4Runner gives drivers more ways to match their SUV to their lifestyle. The i-FORCE 2.4L turbocharged engine produces up to 278 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. For shoppers who want even more strength, the available i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain produces up to 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.

That torque advantage matters. Whether you are merging onto I-10, towing outdoor gear, driving through Louisiana backroads, or heading off the pavement, the 4Runner gives you the strength and confidence you expect from a true Toyota SUV.
